Subject: my broken pad Thu Sep 08, 2011 9:28 pm
ok so normally i wouldnt give 2 shits about a pad but this bastard cost £50 so i thought id see if anyone (alan,steve),had any ideas.basically its a wired pad that is just dead when i plug it in.it was working fine and then when i went to turn my xbox on the console wouldnt come on at all.it made all the noises,bings and shit,but no lights.so i unplugged the pad and the console came on no probs.now the pad has zero affect on the console.any ideas?

First thing I would try is buy a can of contact cleaner this may work as if the terminal contacts and making contact with each other it could be shorting the xbox, turn off xbox and spray the contacts where you plug pad into and also the pad contacts

try it on a different xbox as it could be your USB sockets fucked.

if its a razer onza controller ive heard a few bad things about them bugging out. My friends recently got one and everynow and then his controller like vibrates randomly and his character looks towards the ground then he has to jiggle the wire a bit to get it to work.

ahhhhh i fixed it using my engineering brilliance.i prodded the components with a dart .and yeah marv there temprimental things my pad has hissy fits where it just doesn't wanna use its sticks properly.there a bloody rip off for the money you pay for them
